What happens if I pay off my trip and then the free meal plan is offered? Will get a credit or a refund or will I not be able to upgrade?

    Hi, BettyJo!

The Disney Dining Plans are very popular with guests - even when they are not being offered for free. It is a great way for a family to budget food into their upcoming vacation ahead of time, which helps take some of the mystery out of vacation spending.

When there is a free Disney dining plan special offer, as there is currently going on for rooms booked until August 1, 2018, it comes with certain qualifications. There will be a Magic Your Way package purchase required, which includes a minimum number of nights of hotel accommodations and theme park ticket purchase.

The free dining promotion will not be automatically added to an existing reservation. You will have to call 407-827-7369 in order to speak with a vacation planning expert. Because free dining applies to specific room types and certain resorts, and the promotion is limited, your reservation may need modification in order to apply the free dining promotion.

Don't forget - especially during a free dining offer - Walt Disney World resort guests can make dining reservations beginning 180 days in advance of their vacation for up to 10 days of their stay. You'll want to get right in there and book the meals that are most important to you as soon as you can.

    Thanks for your question, BettyJo!
