What happens if the magic bands we ordered don’t arrive before we leave for Florida? Are there any rides in MK or Epcot that we need to join a virtual queue the morning we will be there? Like how Star Wars is in HS.

Hi there, Amy! Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and ask another excellent Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

MagicBands are your key to all of the fun things you have planned during your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! With this small wristband, you can quickly and efficiently connect with your plans via sensors called touchpoints. MagicBands are easy to keep track of since they stay on your wrist and allow you to pack a bit lighter throughout your stay. By using your MagicBand, you will be able to unlock the door of your Disney Resort hotel room, enter theme parks and water parks, connect Disney PhotoPass images to your account, and charge food and merchandise purchases to your Disney Resort hotel room. In addition, MagicBands come in a variety of fun styles to fit every Guest’s preferences!

It should take approximately 11 days for your MagicBand order to be fulfilled and shipped. That being said, certain external factors can add or subtract days at certain times. If you have not received your MagicBand order at this time, I would recommend contacting the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations phone line directly. By calling this number, a Cast Member will be able to assist you with your specific order and address any concerns you may have. Fortunately, though, even if you do not receive your MagicBand order prior to your arrival, you will be provided with MagicBands whenever you arrive at your Disney Resort hotel!

Currently, the only attraction that utilizes the virtual queue is Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. So, you will not need to worry about utilizing this service with any other attraction including those at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot! However, you can use the My Disney Experience app on your smartphone to keep track of attraction wait times throughout your visit to any of the parks. This is incredibly helpful when planning out your day and making any last-minute changes as needed!

I hope you have an absolutely magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort this week! Please let us know if we can answer any additional questions for you!
