What happens in Disneyland between August 4(end of pixar fest) and August 23rd (beginning of Halloween)? Will all the attractions be available? Are there parades or fireworks during this time? Does the decorating for halloween start after August 4?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Cesiah. We're so glad you stopped by to share this question. It sounds like a visit to the Disneyland Resort is in your near future and I'm delighted to help.

There are so many wonderful events happening at the Disneyland Resort this year. While there might not be any specific special events during your visit, it won't make it any less magical. As we get closer to the date of your visit, I recommend checking out the Hours & Events Calendar at the Disneyland site for information on what entertainment offerings will be available and any attractions that may be closed for refurbishment during your visit. I also suggest keeping an eye on Disney Parks Blog for any updates or announcements.

While the resort won't be fully decked out in all of its spooktacular glory until the first official day of Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort (August 23rd), you may start to see various decorations being put up throughout the resort during this time. My absolute favorite is seeing the iconic giant Mickey pumpkin as you enter Disneyland Park during the spooky season.

Any day spent at the Disneyland Resort is going to be absolutely magical. Even without a special event happening, there are so many wonderful things to enjoy. Walking down Main Street, U.S.A. toward Sleeping Beauty Castle (preferably with a churro in hand) is so dreamy. You can enjoy your favorite attraction and meet with some delightful characters. I always love just being at the parks and taking in all of the whimsical ambiance and nostalgia.

While this is probably not the answer you were looking for, I hope the information is still helpful, Cesiah. Let us know if there's anything else that we can help with as you continue to plan. Here's wishing you a most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.

    Happy planning!
