Hi Kate,
Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question! One of the magical things about a
Disney Cruise Line vacation is there is
something for every family member. I’m glad your child will experience the wonder of the
Oceaneers Club! It is wall-to-wall fun!
Kate,
Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab are typically open from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m., except on embarkation day when youth activities begin on or after 7:00 p.m. With all that excitement, along with other cruise fun, I can imagine that children might take a quick snooze once in a while. You will be happy to know that the Youth Activities counselors are prepared for such a moment. If a child is tired, the counselor provides a mat and has the child lie down in the quiet area. If your child should doze off during a movie, the counselors will do their best to ensure your young one is not in the middle of a bustle of activity if possible.
My planDisney pals and I confirmed with a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member that resting mats are currently available in the Youth Activity spaces, so I think you can rest assured that all will be well if your sleeping beauty nods off. As with all things on your Disney Cruise Line vacation, if you have any questions while on board, please speak with a Crew Member.
Remember, you can
pre-register for Disney’s Oceaneer Club or Disney's Oceaneer Lab. If your child would like to explore the space first, you can register once onboard. As a family, you have plenty of
activities to enjoy together, too. Check your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you board for family-friendly fun!
I hope this information helps you and your child rest easy, Kate. Let us know if you have other questions; we are here to help!
Wishing you sweet dreams and magical memories,
Shannon
