What happened to the Disney Institute and some of their programs? I wanted to find something different for us to do as a family this trip and thought one of the cooking classes might be fun but I can not find anything on Disney programs like this.

    Tabatha,

The Disney Institute does still exist, though probably not in the form that you are thinking of, unfortunately.

The Disney Institute that used to reside at Walt Disney World was where the Saratoga Springs Resort is today. Unfortunately, that is no more. It was closed down quite a few years ago. What continues on is a group within Disney that provides business leadership training, both on property and off.

As for similar programs, there are a few options. The best is the series of special sessions that are held throughout the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. They also do similar efforts during the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival related to gardening and crafts. You might also look at the tours that are held in all of the parks.

    I hope that this helps?

    Have a magical vacation!
