Michelle,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
I love that you plan far ahead, like me! Unfortunately, there is no way to know this far out what a complete list of attraction closures might be. But here is what you can do a little closer to your travel time to know what is, and what is not going to be open.
About 90 days out from your vacation, the park calendars will be published on the main Walt Disney World website. To find them from the home page of the website, hover over
"Parks and Tickets", and then click on
"Park Hours" in the menu that pops up. Once there you can select your travel dates, and under each park listing for hours there is a
"Closed for Refurbishment" tab. That will tell you anything that won't be available.
WARNINGOn occasion, an attraction will be getting more than a refurbishment, and will neither be open, but will also not be shown on the "Closed for Refurbishment" listing. For example,
Splash Mountain in the
Magic Kingdom is now being re-imagined as
Tiana's Bayou Adventure. These will be few and far between, but it is always good to keep that in mind.
BONUS TIP #1The
Disney Parks Blog is a great resource for timely news about upcoming updates and changes at the parks. I recommend you check it as well as your vacation nears!
BONUS TIP #2It may not be the same as an attraction, but by the time you visit, you will find a new place to take care of your sweet tooth. Opening soon at
Disney's BoardWalk is the
Cake Bake Shop Bakery by Gwendolyn Rogers. I happen to live just minutes away from one of her shops here in Indiana, and it is a delicious indulgence. Stop by if you can!
Please feel free to
write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!Doug
