I am handicapped and walk with canes. Where is the closest place for my family to drop me off, so I can rent an electric scooter at Disneyland and not have to walk very far?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Donna. It sounds like you're making plans for your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort and we're happy to help.

Renting an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) is a great way to make the resort more accessible. My aunt used one of these during a recent visit, and it was so helpful and convenient. The rental location is just to the right of the Disneyland Park entrance gates and closest to the entrance on Harbor Boulevard. The nearest drop-off area is located on Harbor Boulevard. It is a little bit of a walk to get to security and then ultimately to the rental location, however, this is the closest drop off area.

Rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis, available for the day and must be returned at the end of your day. If you are visiting for several days, you might also want to consider a long-term rental through the local private mobility rental company, ScooterBug. They can deliver an ECV right to your hotel. We used this option and it made the trip so much easier.

There's some great information on the Disneyland website for Services for Guests with Mobility Needs, including information for accessing attraction queues. I highly recommend checking it out. We used the Location Return Time option for a few of the attractions with narrower queues in Fantasyland and it was a great tool.

Donna, I hope this helps provide you with some ideas and options for your upcoming visit. If there's anything else that we can help with, please come back to see us. Here's wishing you a most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
