    Hi! For Halloween our son would like to be a Disney cast member! At Walt Disney World do they sell the name tags at any of the shops? Also, if they do, can they be personalized with his name and state? Thanks so much for your help!!

    Hi Christi!

    I think for most of us here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel, becoming a Cast Member at the Walt Disney World Resort would be fulfilling a lifelong dream!  I know that when I was younger, I always wanted to work in the Haunted Mansion so that I could help the grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize (and be in the air conditioning)!

    For new Cast Members, receiving an official Disney name tag really is a magical rite of passage.  Because of this, and the importance of possessing a name tag, they are not currently sold in the parks.  That being said, my good friend and fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelist Andrea W. said that she has seen similar name tags with common names (without a hometown) in the past at the Celebrity 5 & 10 shop in Disney's Hollywood Studios, so you never know when they may reappear!  Also, Star Wars themed name tags that can be personalized with your name in Aurebesh have recently been spotted in Star Wars Launch Bay!

    If your son has his heart set on a Cast Member name tag, you could make your own out of laminated card stock or even check out some of the impressively crafty do-it-yourself retailers online that make Disney-inspired name tags!  If you need a little pixie-dusted inspiration, make sure you check out this awesome video about how Cast Member name tags are made!
