Boo to you, Ryan! Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question. It sounds like you’re in the final countdown for your Halloween on the High Seas cruise. I love opening my Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and seeing those adorable character countdown numbers drop to zero!
Decorating your stateroom door is such a fun Disney Cruise Line tradition, and it makes finding your room in those long hallways so much easier. I understand why the rules around lights can be confusing. The
Prohibited Items list mentions seasonal or celebratory string lights, but I confirmed with a Disney Cruise Line representative that battery-powered string lights without a plug (like your AA-powered Mickey lights) are fine to use. Just be sure they’re securely attached in a way that won’t damage the door... strong magnetic hooks work great. Since you’re sailing during spooky season, you could even add a Haunted Mansion or Nightmare Before Christmas twist to your décor to make your door the most boo-tiful in the hallway!
Once onboard, don’t forget to use the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to see the full lineup of Halloween activities, from Mickey’s Mouse-querade and trick-or-treating to character meet-and-greets and themed dining. And of course, pack your costumes so you can join in on the festivities.
Have a spook-tacular time, Ryan!
Sea ya real soon,
Eean
