Hey Howdy Hey Carol,
I am so glad that you have stopped back at planDisney with this great question. While I love a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation any time of the year, my absolute favorite time to visit is during the fall and early winter months. Disney World pulls out all the stops during the Halloween and Christmas season and the theme parks and
Disney Resorts Collection hotels are overflowing with magic and pixie dust. It is not to be missed!
If you are a Halloween enthusiast, but also begin hanging your stockings the minute trick-or-treating has ended, it can be hard to decide when to visit. I just do not want to miss wither season at Walt Disney World. The good news is there is a small window of time where you can enjoy both holidays during the same visit. By arriving just before Halloween, you would have the opportunity to purchase a ticket for
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and take part in this special Halloween event at
Magic Kingdom. This means you can enjoy the fall festivities and decorations at Magic Kingdom just before Mickey's elves begin decking Main Street U.S.A. Then by staying until the first night of
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, you would also be able to enjoy the beginning of the Christmas season.
While it seems the decorations magically appear overnight, it does take some time for all of the lights to be strung, the trees to be decorated and the gingerbread to be iced. This means that unless you are able to extend your trip out for a couple of weeks, you may only be able to enjoy a portion of the Christmas decorations. No worries though as even a portion of a Disney World Christmas will put the ho-ho-ho in your holiday.
I hope this helps you pick the perfect time to visit. If I can help with any additional planning questions, please stop back and
see me.
Hope to see ya real soon,
Margaret
