Ahoy, Ruthann!
This time next week you'll be relaxing poolside on your first full day at SEA! I'm sure your crew has been counting down the days until your FANTASY becomes a reality, and it's just about hEAR! Woo Hoo!
You'll be glad to know you can save space by leaving your hairdryer at home because all
staterooms have one in the desk drawer. The first time I cruised on the
Disney Fantasy, I was worried it would not be strong enough for my hair, but it was at 220 volts! There's a large mirror and seat at the desk that you can use while you dry and style your hair.
Ruthann, my family's most recent sailing was on the Disney Fantasy. This is one of our favorite ships to vacation on because it is a destination in itself. My advice is to use the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to help you plan out your days. You can favorite your must-do
activities to receive reminders, but please do not try to do it all! A week gives you the time to experience a lot, but you also want to relax and rejuvenate while onboard. Some of my must-dos are
first-run movies in the Buena Vista Theatre, visiting the
Senses Spa, an adult-only meal at
Palo, and enjoying the
Broadway-style shows in the evenings. Another activity I have to mention is
shopping! No Disney vacation is complete without some magical souvenirs. The shops will be open when the ship is at sea, so be sure to make your purchases early as some more popular items might sell out. I also enjoy taking the Art of The Theme Show Tour. This tour is only for Guests over the age of 18 and is offered a few different times each sailing. I won't tell you too much, but it's a unique insight into the design and theming of the ship. Disney is all about the details, so if this is something you enjoy, I highly recommend it!
I hope you find my tips helpful next week! My final advice is to be sure to stop by the Disney Vacation Planning Desk to
book a future sailing before you disembark. There are some great incentives to booking while onboard!
Bon Voyage!
