Aloha Andy!
Thanks for jogging by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You have picked
a fantastic Resort! The spirit of ‘Ohana reigns supreme - from the friendly Cast Members to the relaxing tropical vibe; nothing says “family” more to me than
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.
While there is not a gym at the Resort, you are more than welcome to use the fitness center at
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. It is very close, approximately a ten-minute walk away from your Resort. The fitness center is open 24 hours, and there is a Cast Member that staffs it during the day. After your work-out, I highly recommend indulging in a treatment at
Senses - A Disney Spa and Salon at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. On my last birthday, I treated myself to a hot stone massage there, and I will be returning!
Besides the fitness center, there are plenty of other
recreational opportunities at your hotel. The Resort sits along a
1.5-mile jogging trail around Seven Seas Lagoon so that you can exercise with a fantastic view! The Resort has one of
the best pools on Disney property and comes with a volcano slide. Also, there is a tremendous volleyball court located lagoon-side, and you can quickly check out balls with your MagicBand.
If you’d prefer to be on the water, rather than exercising besides it, the Resort’s lakeside arena offers a variety of
watercraft to rent. Nab a Sea Raycer and have a blast on a mini-speedboat! If you prefer a tamer water activity, consider a
guided fishing excursion.
Andy, if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back.
Mahalo ~ Rayna
