Hi guys, I was wondering which hotel you recommend for 2 adults and 3 boys 10,12,14, providing close proximity to parks with minimal travel/wait times or walking distance. Also great quick service facilities. Thanks Kristy

    Hi Kristy,

If your boys were younger, I would suggest that you stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort or Disney's Contemporary Resort. However, now that you have tweens and a teen in your household, I'm going to direct you to Disney's Beach Club Resort or Disney's Yacht Club Resort instead.

Your boys are at an age now where thrill rides are more likely to draw their attention. If you are staying at Disney's Beach Club Resort or Disney's Yacht Club Resort, you can walk to Epcot in less than 10 minutes and to Disney's Hollywood Studios in less than 30 minutes. (You could catch a boat ride across Crescent Lake if you don't wish to walk.) Having proximity to these two parks puts your boys close to some of the most thrilling rides on Walt Disney World Resort property.

Additionally, as guests of these resorts, they would have access to Stormalong Bay. I bet your sons would love the pirate ship slide at this amazing watery paradise. It's a little terrifying, which seems to be exactly what young teens and tweens enjoy.

The Beach Club Marketplace offers a nice variety of quick service meals. If you are looking for quick service goods at Disney's Yacht Club Resort, head on over to the Market at Ale & Compass. Between these two options, you will find more variety at the Beach Club Marketplace.

Wishing you many magical memories with your boys,
    Jill
