Hi, guys, thank you for all your great tips! My 7 year old daughter has a walnut allergy. We are leaving next week. What recommendations do you have to minimize the chance that she will eat any walnuts that may be an ingredient in her food?

Disney tries very hard to accommodate people with allergies and food sensitivities. The first step I would take would be to alert Disney Dining (407-WDW-DINE) to your situation. They will make a note of the allergy on all of your advance dining reservations. You should also remind your server of the allergy as you are seated. Very often a chef or other member of the kitchen staff will come out to the dining room to discuss your specific needs with you.

If you are eating at a counter service restaurant, you can ask to see the ingredient list of most items. Bear in mind that this make take a few moments, particularly if there are crowds, so be sure to plan accordingly.

You can find articles about other guest experiences with allergies if you go to allearsnet.com. Click on the "search" button and type in the word "allergy." You should be able to find lots of helpful information there.
