Hello and welcome to planDisney, Maurice. One of the things that my husband and I love about the Disneyland Resort is how accessible the parks are. I'm happy to share that there are options for Guests with mobility needs.
You have the option of
renting a wheelchair or an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) for your visit to Disneyland. Rentals are located just to the right of the main entrance to Disneyland Park. These are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so I recommend arriving early to ensure you secure your rental. Keep in mind that they are also available to rent on a daily basis and must be returned at the end of the day. If you happen to be visiting for multiple days, you may consider renting from a private mobility rental company in the local area, ScooterBug. This is a really great option. They provide delivery of your ECV to your hotel and will also pick up from your hotel when you're done. My aunt used this during a recent visit, and it was so helpful and convenient.
If you haven't already, I also recommend checking out the
Services for Guests with Mobility Needs on the Disneyland website. There are some great tips for navigating the parks and attraction queues with a mobility device. We used the
Location Return Time for many of the attractions in Fantasyland, where the queues tend to be a little narrower and are unable to accommodate an ECV, and it worked out great for our group.
You'll arrive just in time to take in all of the festivities of the
70th Celebration before the last bits of confetti are thrown on August 9th. If you haven't already, I recommend downloading the
Disneyland app and checking out the digital guide to the celebration.
