You guys are great! Wanted to make the most of the last day of our trip to wdw in May. Can you stay in the hotel rooms for a room only rate? Did not want to get meal plan and park hopper for last day due to drive. Do you have to do this seperately?

    Hi Diana!

Yes, Walt Disney World resorts do offer a room only rate for guests who would prefer not to purchase a meal plan or park tickets. If you'd like to add a single night on to your existing resort, ticket and meal plan package, this would be booked as a separate reservation, and kept completely apart from the package.

If you're considering this, I do have a couple of tips for you:

First off, the most economical way to do this will be to include an extra day of tickets on your original package. The cost to add a single day to multiple day tickets is only a small incremental increase, where as a one day park ticket will be quite an expense. You can add the extra day of tickets at the time that you book your package or after you arrive at Walt Disney World.

Second, while the check-out time from your resort room will be about 11 am, you are free to use the resort's facilities until midnight of your check-out day. Most resorts offer locker rooms and/or changing areas near the pool complex. You are free to enjoy any of the amenities and/or use these changing facilities on your last day, before your drive home. Bell services can also store your luggage until its time to depart.

Hope this helps, and be sure to let me know if I can help out with more specifics on any of this!
