Hi Moms! You guys are Awesome! We are trying to either visit the week of Thanksgiving 2012 or During Christmas. What time do you think would be less crowded? Do you need special passes for the taping of the Christmas Parade? Thank YOU! Denise

    Denise,

These are both the busiest times of the year at Walt Disney World. No way to avoid that. But if you had to pick which of the two was the MOST crowded, I would definitely say it was Christmas. From then until New Years Day is the single busiest week or so of the year.

With regards to the taping of the Christmas Party, know that it is a real time commitment. You don't just swing by, watch for a few minutes, then head on out. You have to sit there for quite a while, often watching the same thing over and over again. It can be fun, and it is a blast if you can get on TV, but it is not for the faint of heart.

And yes, you do need to get registered to be in the taping of the parade. The spots do get filled up quickly, so I would recommend you keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog to see when they make registration available.

    Have a magical vacation!
