Dia duit, Leona! Welcome, and thank you for popping on in for a practically perfect answer to your supercalifragilistic question.
Walt Disney World has quite a few hidden gems, and the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels are home to some of them. I always find the most amazing lounges and small bites by visiting the hotels.
Although the
Top of the World Lounge at Disney's Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is available only to eligible
Disney Vacation Club members, not to worry. Located right next door at
Disney's Contemporary Resort is the
Outer Rim. This lounge has similar spectacular views of Bay Lake, and we've grabbed snacks at Contempo Cafe for our kids (and now grandkids) to enjoy while we've had a cocktail.
If you're looking for theming, hop on the monorail and head to
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.
Trader Sam's Grog Grotto is open to guests under 21 until 8 PM, and you'll find yourself immersed in a treasure-filled island oasis, with so much to see, hear, and taste. After 8, you can move with the kids outside to
Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace, where the fun and the food can continue right up until you decide to head to the beach for the fireworks from
Magic Kingdom Park.
With very few exceptions, Leona, you'll find that kids are permitted in the lounges. Feel free to end your theme park day with a quick pop over to one of the many choices for an evening cocktail and a snack.
