Can guests on same reservation charge separate credit cards using magic bands?

Hi there, Janet! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your great question. I’d be happy to help!

MagicBands make vacation life a breeze, especially when it comes to charging purchases like meals and souvenirs. Just tap your band, enter your PIN, and you’re good to go, so no need to dig around for a wallet. I always joke that the hardest part of coming home is remembering I actually have to pull out a credit card at the grocery store!

Now, when it comes to using separate credit cards for guests on the same reservation, the good news is yes, it’s totally possible! Each guest just needs to stop by the Front Desk with their MagicBand and the credit card they’d like to use. A Cast Member can link each band to a different payment method, so everyone can charge to their own card. Without doing this, any purchases made with a MagicBand will be charged to the primary card on file for the room at checkout, so it’s definitely worth the quick stop at the Front Desk if you’d like to keep things separate.

And here’s a fun tip to sweeten your arrival day: From May 21 through September 7, 2025, both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach will be open at the same time, so you’ll have your pick of water parks! Even better, Disney Resort Guests receive complimentary water park admission on their check-in day. It’s a perfect way to cool off and kick off your trip while you wait for your room to be ready, and maybe even test out that MagicBand charging by grabbing a Sand Pail Sundae!

Wishing you a splash-tastic vacation, Janet. See ya real soon!
