We are guests at AK resort. We are planning to go to AK/MK only with our 4 year old but the company I work for is having a dessert buffet at epcot during the fireworks. Do we need hopper passes to attend the function or will the extended hours cover us?

In order to enter Epcot, even for an event or a meal, you do need to have a park admission ticket. If you have been to another park during the day, then to enter Epcot in the evening you will need to have a Park Hopper ticket.

Extra Magic Hours allow DIsney resort guests extra time in the parks on select evenings, but even during EMH guests do need to have a valid park admission ticket.

Enjoy your stay at Walt Disney World.
