. My guestions is what is the best hotel to stay at for kids. I seems like there is a big price difference between the value and moderate, delux resorts. Why? We do not want to break the bank!!

Hi, Deidre!  There is a price increase when you move from a value resort into the moderate resort range, and again when you step up to the deluxe resorts.  A lot of this has to do with the amenities at the resort, the size of the rooms, and even location.  The value resorts, for example, have only a food court on site for your dining needs, but if you go to a deluxe resort,  you'll find at least one table service restaurant, a counter service location, and even a pool bar.  There are also different recreational activities at the different resorts (while you can't rent a surrey bike at an All Star, you can still go to Saratoga Springs and rent one, even if you are not staying there).

You will also find that the moderate and the deluxe resorts have refrigerators in the rooms, and the value resorts do not.  You will also find in room coffee makers in the moderate and deluxe resorts.

The room size varies as well.  You will find the rooms increase in size when they increase in price, and if you plan on spending a considerable amount of time at the resort, this may be something you want to put a lot of thought into.  The value resorts also have less elaborate pool areas.

We have stayed at the value resorts, the moderate resorts, and the deluxe resorts, and have no trouble recommending any of them.  If our stay is brief, and we plan to do most of our days in the theme parks, there is nothing wrong with staying in a less expensive resort.  If I plan on having lots of time to rest and relax, I like a deluxe resort with the additional activities and amenities close at hand.
