Hiya Bonni,
It is great to see you back at planDisney. You have picked my absolute favorite time of the year to visit
Walt Disney World Resort. The theme parks and
Disney Resorts Collection hotels will be all decked out for the holidays. Plus, a bonus to visiting this holiday season is that you will be able to enjoy all the anniversary festivities associated with
The World's Most Magical Celebration.
Not only will you be able to hotel hop to see the holiday decor, I definitely encourage it and think it should be on everyone's must-do list. We often plan an entire day to do nothing but move from resort to resort and take in all the trees, lights and decorations. I think it is so cool how each Disney World resort has its own theme - its own personality when it comes to its holiday decorations. From the gorgeous carved wooden ornaments with an African theme at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to the beautiful Victorian glass ornaments and gigantic gingerbread house at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you can almost see the pixie dust sprinkled on every ornament. One of our favorite Disney resorts to visit is
Disney's Beach Club Resort. We love the light, breezy nautical feel to the decorations, but the best part is the adorable gingerbread carousel in the lobby. We love seeing the new theme of the carousel each year and look forward to seeking out all the Hidden Mickey's. Bonus tip - if you are looking for the perfect family photo for your holiday card, the magnificent tree at Disney's Wilderness Lodge has never disappointed us!
One reminder, resort parking is limited to Guests with a room reservation or advanced dining reservations so
Disney transportation is the easiest and most reliable way to resort hop. And, don't forget to purchase some of the delicious gingerbread options while visiting the Grand Floridian Resort. It makes the perfect gift for those back at home. Wishing you a magical holiday season. If I can help with any additional planning questions, please stop back and
see me.
With pixie dust,
Margaret
