Can guest be added to a room reservation after reservation has started? I check in on Saturday and some friends might come on Thursday. Could they stay in my room

Hi, Aimee! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for bringing us another great question! I certainly understand how plans can change at any time, and Disney is great about helping guests make the most of their vacation by accomodating changes as much as possible. Hopefully yours can be worked out because Disney with friends is the BEST!

You will want to call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line, as soon as you know if they are joining you, to try to add the guests to your room reservation. Keep in mine that there are restrictions on the number of guests staying in a room and there may be an added charge for having more than two adults in the room. Also, changes to resort reservations must be made by a certain number of days before your check-in date to avoid additional charges. This very important date is going to depend on if you have booked a room-only stay or have a Disney Resort Hotel Package, which could include Disney Theme Park Tickets and a Disney Dining Plan. Changes or cancellations of packages must be done at least 30 days in advance, while those for room-only reservations must be done five or more days in advance.

Aimee, you may want to go ahead and try to add guests to your Advance Dining Reservations while you are modifying your Resort hotel stay. I have been pixie-dusted several times by being able to add just one more guest upon arrival at the dining location, but it can be harder to accomodate two or more at the last minute. Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions!
