Well hello there, Verna. It's so nice that you found us here at planDisney!
While the drawing classes are not currently being offered as of my writing this answer,
they have been made available every once in a while in the past year at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort.
Recreation activities change often and cannot be guaranteed so be sure to check the Recreation Activities boards that are usually posted around the resort to see if it's being offered when you are there. You can also ask the friendly Cast Members at the
Front Desk of the resort.
In the past, there have been activities like sand art and tie-dyeing, usually for an additional cost. Of course, there are also fun
campfires, poolside activities, and
Movies Under the Stars, weather permitting. Once again, you'll want to check out that Recreation Activities board to see what will be available and when!
Did you know that there is a drawing class offered at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park? I participated in
The Animation Experience at Conservation Station this past fall with some of my
planDisney family and we had the privilege of getting to learn how to draw Simba from
The Lion King from
a real-life Character Artist! It was a great time. Plus, it feels so exclusive because you must board the always-fun
Wildlife Express Train to get there. So even if the animation classes aren't offered at your resort hotel when you're there, you'll likely be able to attend this animation class when visiting this one-of-a-kind theme park.
Verna, happy animating! If you have any other questions,
please reach out again.
Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever,
Matt
