Our group of 6 is going to be using the Dining Plan. I think that 20% will be tacked on to each meal for a tip, if it is not, will we get a bill showing the amount before using the DP so we can leave an appropriate tip? Thanks - LOVE THE PANEL!!!

Thank you for the kind words about the Panel.

You understand the dining/tip situation correctly with some minor adjustments. Parties of six or more will be required to pay a gratuity of 18% on table service meals.

When you're using the Disney Dining Plan, you are obviously not paying cash for your meal. Instead you use your prepurchased Dining Plan credits. However, for purposes of tipping, you will be presented with a bill that notes price that your meal would have been if you had been paying with cash. This is that amount that will be used to calculate your gratuity level. The 18% tip will be noted on the bill.

Enjoy your stay at Walt Disney World.
