We are a group of 6, can each of us link a credit card to our magic bands to pay for things or does it only charge to the room?

Hello, Annisa! Thank you for sending in your question to planDisney. We are excited to hear that you plan on visiting Mickey real soon!

MagicBands made their debut at Walt Disney World in 2013 and have undergone a few transformations since; I cannot wait to try the new MagicBand+! They have always been used as room keys for on-property hotel rooms, to charge purchases, and to scan into theme park entrances. However, this third-generation edition will have interactive features within the parks!

Before check-in, only one credit card can be linked to a room. Once you arrive at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel, a credit card can be added for each guest staying in the room. Just stop by the front desk, and each person in your party will be asked to set up a unique PIN that they will enter into a keypad before making purchases. Then, upon check out, you'll get a folio sent to your email address for your personal charges.

This will especially come in handy if you plan to visit the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. I love using my MagicBand at the Global Marketplace Booths! Also, don't forget to pick up a complimentary Festival Passport as you enter the park; it is filled with beautiful color photos, which help you decide what to eat. My favorite is the Smoked Corned Beef from the Flavors from Fire Booth.

I hope you and your friends have a magical time this fall, Annisa!
