For a group of 7, paying for a TS meal with dining plan credits, if the bill is paid separately by each diner, is the 18% gratuity applied in accordance with what each individual ate, or is the total bill split evenly and everyone pays the same gratuity?

    Hi Denise!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. One of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World Resort is partake in some absolutely divine cuisine! I'm so excited for you to experience your own delicious Table Service Restaurant on your next visit!

For parties of 6 Guests or more, you are correct that an automatic gratuity of 18% is added to your total. For Guests that are splitting a check paying out of pocket, the 18% is based on each individuals order, not split evenly. This means if you order $10 worth of food including tax, your portion of the 18% would be $1.80. If your buddy has a bigger appetite and ordered $20 worth of food and drinks including tax, their portion would be $3.60. For Guests that are on the Disney Dining Plan, your 18% gratuity will be split evenly among everyone in the party that used a Disney Dining Plan credit. So for the above scenario, you and your buddy would both pay $2.70. If you were to split and part of your party pay cash and the other use Disney Dining Plan credits, your tip would be divided accordingly. I hope this helps in understanding your bill within your large group.
