Hello! Me and a group of friends are planning our trip and some of us can stay for our full reservation of 12 days but some can only stay for a week. Is there any way that we can still keep them on the resort reservation if they have to leave early?

    Hi there, Ashley!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with your excellent Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I'm excited to hear that your group of pals is planning a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth together! I recently returned from a fabulous girls' trip with a stay at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa that left me dreaming about the next girls' getaway. I'm happy to help you prepare a practically perfect plan for your group's stay!

Ashley, when traveling with a larger party, it's common for arrival and departure days to vary within the group. When a room-only Resort hotel reservation is made, each Guest on the reservation is booked for the entire duration of the dates booked. It's important to note that Disney Resort hotel rates are typically reflective of two adults per room, and additional adults staying in the room will incur an "Additional Adult" fee. If you hope to avoid these fees, I consider staying in a Family Suite at Disney's Art of Animation Resort or Disney's All-Star Music Resort, or one of the Disney Vacation Club Deluxe Villa Resorts, as these fees do not apply at these properties and/or room types. Otherwise, I recommend speaking to the Front Desk when you arrive to see if Guests could possibly be removed from the reservation as they depart early in order to avoid additional fees.

It's important to list all Guests on a Resort hotel reservation, Ashley. This will allow them to unlock the door to the room using their MagicBand or My Disney Experience mobile app as well as make theme park reservations (if applicable) as Disney Resort hotel Guests. Also, Guests staying at eligible Resort hotels can take advantage of early theme park entry, allowing them to enter the theme parks 30 minutes before they open to the public!

Ashley, I hope you've found these details helpful as you continue to plan a memorable Walt Disney World Resort vacation for your club of Mouseketeers! If you have any additional questions, feel free to stop back by planDisney again anytime. We're all ears!

    See ya real soon,
