Hi there, Trey! Welcome to planDisney!
With convenient access to the Walt Disney World theme parks and
benefits such as
early theme park entry, staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel is the way to go when it comes to accommodations for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. The Disney Resorts Collection offers many different types of resorts with themes to appeal to everyone's interests and rooms to fit a wide range of family sizes.
Although your family of six could book two standard rooms at any resort hotel, if you would prefer to all stay together, you're going to want to look at the family suites at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort or a
Disney Deluxe Villa. If your family would love staying somewhere with larger-than-life Disney theming, then the family suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort would be perfect for you. In addition to the fun theming, its convenient access to the
Disney Skyliner is another advantage of this particular resort hotel.
If you think your family would prefer something a bit more subtle when it comes to resort theming, then I would recommend a Disney Deluxe Villa. Villas can be found at several different resort hotels.
The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are among my favorite places to stay at Walt Disney World Resort. The Grand Floridian offers beautiful views of
Magic Kingdom Park and outstanding
restaurant and lounge options, as well as convenient access to the
Walt Disney World monorail. Since you're planning to visit during December, it's also worth mentioning that the holiday decor at this resort hotel is stunning.
If your family is planning to spend a lot of time at
EPCOT during your vacation, or if an epic swimming pool is a priority for you, then you might want to consider booking a villa at
Disney's Beach Club Villas. This resort hotel is located just steps from EPCOT's International Gateway Entrance. Disney's Beach Club Resort is also the home of
Stormalong Bay. This three-acre pool area includes a sandy beach, a 230-foot-long waterslide, a lazy river, three whirlpool spas, and a huge sand-bottomed swimming pool.
I hope that these recommendations are helpful as you start exploring which resort hotel to call your home away from home. If you'd like some additional information on the Disney Resorts Collection, our
