Group of 9 coming. But split checks I know it is 18% gratuity. We reserved places like Chef Mickeys and crystal Palace. My bill will be for 2 adults and 2 kids can you give me an idea of what I need to bring for tip? Will it average $20, $30? Or more?

    Hi Tashana,

Thank you for asking the Moms Panel a question, I hope I can help!

You're correct that your party of 9 will be automatically charged an 18% gratuity even though the bill will be split. A good way of estimating how much you'll need for tips is to go to the dining pages of www.allears.net and look at the menus. Here you'll see the prices for each restaurant and be able to roughly see how much you and your family will spend on their meals. Some restaurants such as the ones you've listed are a set price so you will know how much your bill will come to.

For the 2 restaurants you've chosen I'll assume your 2 children are between 3 and 9 and will pay the childs price and that you'll be eating at dinner time.

Chef Mickeys currently costs about $30 per adult and $15 per child (3 - 9) at dinner. So the tip here would be around $16

Crystal Palace currently costs about $29 per adult and $14 per child (3 - 9) at dinner. So your tip would be approximately $15.50.

Have a great trip and enjoy your meals,

    Jo
