We are a group of 7 - 4 adults - 2 children - 1 infant. When the necessity to take a cab arises will we need two cabs ? And from previous questions, I assume I should budget $20 per ride per cab ! Would that be a good ballpark figure ?

    Hi Vernon -

There are many van-style cabs that serve the Walt Disney World area. These typically seat up to nine guests and, good news, the van-style cab pricing is exactly the same as car-style cab pricing. You won't pay any more for the larger vehicle.

If you are getting a taxi at one of the resorts, simply tell the cast member at the bell desk that you need a taxi for a party of seven and they will call one for you. You might have to wait two or three more minutes than if you were a smaller party, but you won't have to split up and pay two fees. If you're getting a cab at one of the theme parks, a van-style cab may or may not be waiting there. In this situation you have the choice of splitting into two cabs or asking one of the drivers to call a larger vehicle for you.

You are correct about pricing. I recently took a taxi from the Contemporary Resort to the Animal Kingdom Lodge resort. These two places are at the most distant corners of WDW. My fare with tip was almost exactly $20. If you're going to place that are a bit nearer to each other, then your fare will be a bit less. The vast majority of cab rides within Walt Disney World run between $10-20.

Good luck with your planning and enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World!
