can you get groceries delivered to the hotel?

Greetings, Jennifer! It's great to see you here at planDisney. Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation begins soon; if you're like me, you're already packed and ready to go!

I can't think of a better "Welcome home" than finding snacks and drinks waiting for me at my Disney Resort Hotel, so let's look at how guests can make that dream come true.

I'm happy to let you know that most Disney Resort Hotels accept grocery deliveries. You can choose a store and place your order, so I recommend searching online to find locations near your resort. I've used Publix before, but feel free to shop around.

Once you've filled your digital cart, be sure to provide the resort address at checkout. You can find this on your hotel's homepage on the Walt Disney World website. For example, I had items delivered to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa last year, so I used the address near the property map.

I'd also suggest including your name and the word "Guest" in the address, and I always add my phone number and estimated arrival time if there's a notes section.

If you include any items that require an ID for pickup, such as tobacco or alcohol products, an adult from your party must be present to accept the order. Bell Services cannot take an order containing any of those items.

Bell Services will typically hold your order and can even refrigerate a few items, so I try to limit perishables for this reason. If you're staying in a standard room, keep in mind that you'll have a small beverage cooler instead of a full-sized refrigerator.

You can also pick up your order from Bell Services and take it to your room at no charge. If you prefer to have your groceries brought to your room, you will be charged a small fee. You can find details and current delivery charges on the Mail Services page.

One of my family's Disney traditions is eating a light breakfast in our hotel room before we start our day in the theme parks. I like to have bagels, peanut butter, and bananas on hand, as well as some after-park snacks like nuts and protein bars. And I always claim some space in the mini-fridge for my favorite pick-me-up: Diet Coke!

Jennifer, I hope I've given you some tips for stocking up on trip essentials. May your vacation be magical and your snacks be filling! Stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
