Do the grills at the Fort Wilderness cabins take charcoal? If so,+ is the charcoal provided or do we need to buy/bring our own

    Hi Mary!

Staying at The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is an adventure that blends the best of camping with all the comforts of home! Nestled within the rustic beauty of the forest, these cabins offer a cozy retreat after a day of magical adventures in the parks.

One of the highlights of staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins is the feeling of being immersed in nature while still having access to modern amenities. Each cabin comes equipped with its own charcoal grill and picnic table, perfect for enjoying a barbecue with family and friends. There is also a small kitchen complete with a refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave oven. There are some dishes and pans for cooking. However, you'll need to bring your own charcoal for grilling up your favorite treats.

During my last stay as we flew in from out of town, I found some of what I needed at the Meadow Trading Post, a charming little store that stocks basic groceries, camping supplies, and more. It's convenient for picking up charcoal or any other essentials you may need during your stay. Alternatively, if you're planning ahead, consider ordering charcoal through a grocery delivery service for added convenience and possibly better prices.

But the fun doesn't stop at the cabin door! In my opinion, one of the coolest experiences is Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long. Gather around the campfire, roast some marshmallows, put together some smores, and join in the sing-along fun with beloved Disney characters. It's a delightful way to unwind and create lasting memories with loved ones.

And don't forget the outdoor movie screenings under the stars! It's the perfect way to end a day filled with adventure and magic.

Staying at The Cabins and Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort truly offers an unforgettable experience that combines the excitement of camping with the magic of Disney.
