Greetings from a rather warm Sweden... We are planning on coming to WDW in week 35 ( 26 Aug- 3 Sep 2014). When should I start planning ? Would like to stay at the resorts in the PARK area. I am just solo overwhelmed by it all..It just 2 adults going.

    Hi David!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel! I am so glad someone is getting warm weather because most of the USA, except Florida of course, is in a deep freeze.

The short answer to your question is NOW.

You should consider booking your resort very soon. There are many resorts which are close to the different theme parks. Two of my favorites are Disney's Polynesian Resort which is located directly across the Seven Seas Lagoon from the Magic Kingdom and Disney's Beach Club Resort which is a short walk from the International Gateway entrance to Epcot.

Once your resort is booked you can begin making your dining reservations. Advanced Dining Reservations can be made beginning 180 days prior. If you are planning on an arrival date of August 26, 2014 you can begin making your dining reservations on February 27, 2014.

This should give you a good start to your Disney planning. If you have any other questions along the way please come back and see me.

Wishing you a magical Disney vacation and pixie-dusted day.
