Greetings. We are planning at trip to SoCal from July 5-12. I would like to make a reservation and buy tickets before all slots are sold out. If Disneyland is not open to all US residents at that time, can I be refunded? What advice do you have for us?

    Hi William,

How fun that you have such a big adventure planned for this summer! Are you ready for some fantastic news? Disney recently announced that beginning June 15th, out-of-state Guests will be able to visit and enjoy The Happiest Place on Earth again! Whoo hoo! You have a green light to go ahead and add a visit to Disneyland Resort into your itinerary! Does it get any more magical than that?!

While subject to change, I'm happy to let you know that I just checked the availability calendar and there does still seem to be quite a bit of availability in July. Disney has streamlined their website, and the process of purchasing tickets and making theme park reservations is now integrated into one step, which is awesome. I'd suggest making your plans as soon as possible so you can rest assured that your places in the parks are guaranteed. Will you be visiting Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park? I'd encourage you to as they're both unique and magical in their own ways! As you're preparing to visit, I'd also recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as well as the super helpful Know Before You Go pages for announcements, updates, and planning tips. Changes are happening often, so keeping up-to-date on the latest news will help you be a savvy Disney traveler!

Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney, William! I hope you and your family have a truly magical vacation this summer!
