Hi to all of you, you are great!! My ? - I have res for Ohana and Play'n'Dine at Hollywood Vine. My boys are 4 and 6. Which do you think they would enjoy more? This will be our first trip. Thanks again.

Hi, Christy!  Which they would enjoy more is going to depend on your children - and if you've booked the character breakfast at 'Ohana or the dinner, which does not have characters.

My oldest daughter hated interacting with the characters.  I couldn't get her to stand next to one for photos until she was six, and even then, she stood a considerable distance away and wouldn't allow them to get too close.  She loved the dinner at 'Ohana, with the coconut races and games that they play with the kids, and she also always liked the food there.

My other two would take Play 'n' Dine at Hollywood and Vine any day.  The last time we were there, some of their favorites from the Little Einsteins were there, and they loved dancing and having a good time with the characters.  The buffet food is very good, and there are plenty of options for everyone to choose from.

If you think the boys would like the character interaction, I would say definitely do the Play 'n' Dine meal.  It's fun, they can collect a couple of autographs, and they can get their photo taken with some of the characters without having to wait in line.  If they are a little timid and you don't think they'll want to interact with the characters, the dinner at 'Ohana can also be fun for the kids.  You might have to coax them to get involved, but my daughters always enjoyed going.

The character breakfast at 'Ohana is one of my favorites - but again, if you think they might be afraid of the characters, this may not be the best choice for your family.

    Have a great first trip!
