I had the great pleasure to visit Disney World December 2012. I believe i over paid for my trip by going to a a travel agent to book my trip. I would like to know of any ways I can count down my cost for my 2014 trip to Disney World I am planning now.

Hi Jacqueline! I'm a bargain-shopper so I'm always looking for ways to enjoy a luxurious Disney vacation at a discount. The best tip for saving money on trips to Walt Disney World is to keep an eye on the Special Offers page of the Disney website and book your vacation through one of the links found there. Discounts for 2014 aren't posted yet but you'll find some great deals there as we get closer to next year. The unofficial website mousesavers.com is another great source of information on saving money on Disney vacations.

If you do prefer using a travel agent, choose one who specializes in Disney vacations. I know several Disney travel agents who spend hours on the telephone applying newly-released discounts to their clients' vacations to save them money.

Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
