Hello! Great panel! I am wanting to book a trip to WDW with my granddaughters next Fall. Do the travel agents get better deals or can I get the same deals if I book it myself online? I have always booked it myself but was wondering if I should try that.

    Hi Carrie!

In general, the Walt Disney World rates are the same whether you book a trip yourself or if a Travel Agent does it for you.

However, many Disney specific Travel Agents will also continue to look for new discounts or promotions which may save you additional money. This means that even after you book, these travel agents will still be looking for a better deal for you. Sometimes agents will offer specials like a small Disney gift card or in-room gift as well. Occasionally these are advertised, but other times it is simply part of their service.

Also, travel agents will help with your dining reservations and itinerary planning.

Ultimately, it is really a personal preference. Are you a hands-on planner who likes to have the control and flexibility to change your itinerary on a whim? If so, then perhaps booking yourself is better. Do you prefer to go ahead and book your trip and not have to worry about continually checking to see  if you've gotten the best deal? Then maybe a travel agent would work for you.

    Hope this helps!
