Jill,
Since the question got cut off I'm guessing that you are asking about purchasing the CD. I hope that is correct!
If so, my answer is no, I wouldn't recommend that each family purchase their own CD. While at Disney I think you should each have your own PhotoPass card. This makes it much easier for every family to have pictures taken individually. When you are in a group you can use any of the cards, it won't matter which one.
Before you leave, stop in to a photo location. The wonderful Cast Members there will be happy to help you combine all of the PhotoPass cards onto one central card. If you forget to have this done before you leave the World, you can do this at home on the PhotoPass website as well. Here are the locations in Disney:
• Exposition Hall in Magic Kingdom
• The Camera Center at Epcot
• Cover Story - The Dark Room at Disney Studios
• Garden Gate Gifts at Animal Kingdom
• County Bounty in Magic Kingdom’s Toontown
• Guest relations at Downtown Disney
• PhotoPass kiosk located on the second floor of the Grand Floridian Resort
Once all the cards are combined on one, you can crop, edit, add borders, etc and then order as a group. This saves a LOT of money! You can buy additional CDs with all of the pictures for only $20 each, so every family can have their own CD. And speaking of savings, do you know about pre-purchasing the photo CD to save 20%? Here is the link to do that:
