    Hello Great panel!!!! We are coming to Disney Aug16-22 Two Single Moms with 12 year old girls. Without the Aug schedule being posted I am at a lost on how to plan our dining. Can you recommend some dining options as well.

    Tracy,

    Since you wrote this, you will find that the August schedules have been posted. So that solves problem 1!

    As to dining recommendations, there are so many, I don't know where to start! But here goes;

    • I think that with two 12 year olds it would be nice to have at least one "fancy" dinner. California Grill or Narcoossee's would be perfect, combining fine dining with some magic as you watch the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom!
    • The dining in the Epcot World Showcase provides you a great way to expose them to new cuisines. I particularly like Restaurant Marrakesh (Morocco) and Rose and Crown (United Kingdom) for this.
    • You are here to have fun. Whispering Canyon Cafe, Biergarten, The Spirit of Aloha, or perhaps even Mickey's Backyard BBQ provide a fun atmosphere that doesn't hinge on characters (with the last one as a partial exception) to set the mood. Perfect for pre-teens who may be wanting a less "kiddie" experience.

    I am glad to answer follow-up questions, or give more specific dining recommendations. Send me a question directly at my bio page with info on what they like/hate to eat!

    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
