Hi moms.  What a great job all do.  We have a $25 on board credit.  Would we use that for a tip for our Palo server?  If not what do you think is a fair tip? Also, can we buy the glitter that they throw around at DW on the Magic?

Hi again, Deborah! Thanks for stopping back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm glad to hear that our answers have been helpful as you get closer and closer to setting sail on the Disney Magic!

Onboard credits can be used toward anything you charge on the ship or at Castaway Cay. Basically, it's $25 off your final stateroom bill. Tipping is at your discretion at Palo, but typically guests do leave an additional tip for their servers. You'll receive such excellent service and amazing food for a really great price there, so it certainly is traditional to add a nice tip. An automatic 15% will be added for any alcoholic purchases at Palo, but you'll probably want to leave more for the meal. Your tip will be added to your stateroom account, so no need to carry cash.

Speaking of tips and cash, though, do bring some singles so that you can tip the Cast Member who delivers any of the complimentary room service orders you might place. You won't sign for these, so there isn't a way to add a tip to your account when room service is delivered. It's traditional to tip a few dollars in this case.

I have not seen glitter for sale on the ships. Though I don't know for sure, I would think it's not a great idea to have that as it could make the deck slippery. I do know that bubbles are not allowed for that same reason. At some of the deck parties or indoor celebrations, large confetti is tossed about, and for some reason my kids just can't help but to collect a bunch of it to take home!

I hope that helps as you continue to get excited about setting sail! Have fun planning!
