This is a great forum-thanks for all the help! Is PhotoPass worth the $$? We'll have our own camera as well. Just wondering if the advantages to using it and buying the CD outweigh the cost.

    Rhonda,

For our family the PhotoPass is definitely worth it.  We take our own camera as well (technically 3 cameras, plus those in our phones!), but it's not the same.  The PhotoPass photographers will always be taking pictures of your entire family, whereas with your own camera you'll have to constantly set up a tripod or find a helpful passerby to snap pictures for you.  Or, if you're like us, you'll do little of either one and you will end up with vacation photos of half the family at a time.  Before we wised up and bought the PhotoPass we had a grand total of 2 decent pictures with our entire family together.

Purchasing individual picture is an option if you only want one or two.  Many more than that and you'll be better off purchasing CD, which allows you to have copies and reprint at will all of the pictures from your vacation.  This is our preference, and a great value. If you decide to purchase a CD, you can save 20% by doing so before your trip if you follow this link:

I hope this helps you decide what is best for your family.  Have a great vacation!
