Is gratuity included when you use the dining plan at a sit down restaurant? I saw for the character dining experiences it was included but uncertain what the etiquette is elsewhere?

    Hi Jessica!
The Disney Dining Plan is a great way to experience all the cuisine the Disney parks have to offer!  Gratuities are not included at most table service restaurants.  The exception to this is when there is a party of six or more, then 18 percent gratuity is added.  Any alcoholic or specialty beverage that is ordered is also not covered by the Disney Dining Plan and will also incur an 18 percent gratuity.  Specialty dining experiences that DO include gratuity in the price are Cinderella's Royal Table and Dinner shows (Hoop-De-Do, Mickey's Backyard BBQ and Spirit of Aloha). All other character dining experiences DO NOT include gratuities.
A list of all participating restaurants and experiences can be found on the Disney Dining Plan page of the Walt Disney World website!
Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!

Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
