Bright suns, Linda! I hEAR you are traveling with some young padawans next yEAR! I'd love to give you some advice to make sure your journey to
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge goes smoothly.
Oga's Cantina is the local watering hole in Black Spire Outpost. This is THE place to find bounty hunters, smugglers, and travelers of all ages, and the "hole in the wall" bar is quite intimate (AKA small). Due to the limited capacity, the best way to ensure entry is with a reservation made through the Walt Disney World website. When you get in line outside the Cantina, you'll get a quick spiel about Oga's Rules, which include a 45-minute time limit and that most of the bar is standing room only. The booths are a hot commodity and are hard to come by. On my visit, we were seated with another party.
Before entering, I would explain to the Cast Member that you'd just like to go in and look around for a few minutes. Oga does not appreciate her patrons wandering around the Cantina, so the Cast Member will likely relay this message to you; however, it never hurts to ask. Although Oga can be greedy, the good news is that she never enforces a cover charge, even if you decide not to stay. Nevertheless, I encourage you to hang around for a bit and look at the menu. The non-alcoholic Blue Bantha milk is served with a delicious Vanilla-Butter Sugar Cookie. I also think your ''younglings'' will enjoy Oga's Obsession. I tried this concoction myself, and the jello-like mixture came to the table in a fun petri dish with Pop Rocks sprinkled on top; it was surprisingly tasty. This would be an excellent way to refuel before piloting the
Millennium Falcon. It's also fun to stay for a while and listen to DJ R-3X spin his otherworldly tunes!
I hope your grandsons enjoy their time at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, Linda! Til the Spires!
