    I have a grandson that wants to go to Pirate League. I know they will get their face painted, but do you purchase pirate outfits or t-shirts?

    Hi Jill!

    We treated our son to a transformation at The Pirates League for his birthday.  Even though he was the only one getting the makeover, it was such a fun experience for our whole family.  The Pirate Masters got our other kids involved and had us all laughing.  The First Mate Package does include some accessories, such as a bandanna and plastic sword.  You can read through the list of included accessories by clicking the link I included above and expanding the "Plunder-Filled Packages."  My son was satisfied with his accessories on top of his regular clothes, but you will find plenty of pirate wear available for additional purchase as well.  If you like, you can also purchase a costume or shirt in advance of your trip and bring it with you.  The Pirates League is very popular and reservations are highly recommended.  Reservations for The Pirates League can be made up to 180 days in advance by calling (407) WDW-CREW or (407) 939-2739.  After your grandson's transformation, be sure to take advantage of Disney's PhotoPass Service to capture his new look.  We ended up with some great photos taken throughout Magic Kingdom.

    Mom tip:  Pack make-up wipes and a gentle eye make-up remover.  Those Pirate Masters do a thorough job of transforming your young landlubber into a pirate through and through.  However when it is bedtime you are probably going to want to have an easy way to return your grandson to his sweet self.
