As grandparents we were wondering what activities at Disney World that are appropriate for a 4 1/2 year old boy this summer? Thank you.

Hi Phil!   I have the fondest memories of times spent with my grandparents at Walt Disney World,  I always had so much fun when we were together.   I am sure you are going to make some unforgettable memories with your grandson this summer!   I am the mother to  3 and 4 year old little boys  who LOVE Walt Disney World, so I can give you some fun ideas on how to make your trip extra special.

Every vacation my husband and sons get a haircut right on Main Street USA at the Harmony Barber Shop. This quaint little shop is home to some of my favorite Cast Members at Walt Disney World, they treat every guest like a star.   Maybe a Grandfather-Grandson haircut date would be a fun way to spend some time.   You can make reservations by calling (407) WDW-PLAY or (407) 939-7529, walk-ins are welcome as well.

Another fun activity for you to enjoy would be a trip to The Pirates League.   Your grandson could transform into a swashbuckling pirate,  complete with eye patch and sword.  My little boys (and daughter) love this so much that usually have to experience it twice each trip.  My sons often choose the Jake and the Never Land Pirates Package so they can look just like their favorite Disney Junior pal.   The Pirates League can be booked up to 180 days before arrival by calling (407) 939-2739.

Phil, I have so many more tips on traveling with preschoolers so please come back and visit us again! I hope you have a fantastic vacation filled with many magical memories!
