We are grandparents taking our 2 little grandkids on the dream cruise after Easter. I would love to talk to someone about how to get reservations for all the things on the ship as well as reserving some type cabana or something for both islands

    Ahoy, Karen!

Welcome to planDisney!  I'm so glad that you cruised on over to see us as you plan your vacation on the Disney Dream next year.  We've been fortunate to watch our three boys enjoy these magical vacations at sea, and I'm sure you're excited to share this trip with your two young grandchildren!

During your cruise, you'll find plenty of fun - at sea and while in port.  Select onboard experiences, such as the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, allow you to make reservations ahead of your sailing.  Booking windows for these reservations are determined by Castaway Club levels for returning Guests, and first-time cruisers can start reserving activities 75 days before departure.  Activity reservations for your specific cruise will be available to view when your reservation window opens.  You can make reservations in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App or under "My Plans" on the Disney Cruise Line website.  Disney Cruise Line Cast Members are also available by phone to assist if needed.

These same booking windows apply to Port Adventures as well, including cabana rentals at Disney Castaway Cay and/or Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.  Whether or not you reserve a cabana, both of Disney's island destinations include wonderful entertainment, dining, and fun for the whole family.  Each offers complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels, along with a delicious buffet lunch, providing a comfortable, carefree day on the beach.  You'll also find special programming just for kids at Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay, too!

Even though some activities and experiences can be reserved ahead of time, one of our favorite things about a Disney Cruise Line vacation is that there is so much we can enjoy in the moment - without needing to pre-plan or book everything before we set sail!  Once you board, you'll find additional details about your dining rotation, Broadway-style shows, movies, games, character greetings, deck parties, and much more.  You'll also be able to view programming times at the various youth clubs, including Disney's Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab - two popular hangouts for Mouskeeters between the ages of 3 and 10.  The full schedule will be available in the app once you board the ship!

I hope this information has been helpful, Karen, and that you enjoy making many magical memories at sea with your grandchildren!  If you have any other questions or would like additional suggestions for your cruise, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!

    SEA ya real soon!
