Hi Valerie,
There are over 20 hotels on Walt Disney World property. These hotels have a range of price points and amenities available, but all are wonderful and truly welcoming to children and their grandparents. Also, all the resorts have at least one pool, most have several. As a first step, you should look at the "
Places To Stay" area of the WDW website and decide whether your budget fits the value, moderate, or deluxe range.
If you're staying deluxe, the best pool is at the Yacht & Beach Clubs, but the pools at the Polynesian and Grand Floridian are also terrific. I'd probably choose the Polynesian because of the themeing and the easy access to the Magic Kingdom. For moderates, I personally like Port Orleans Riverside best, but many also enjoy Caribbean Beach. For value resorts, the Art of Animation is brand new and has a fabulous water play area for preschoolers.
There are things to do for youngsters at all four of Disney's theme parks, but you'll probably want to start with the Magic Kingdom. Take a look at the
park attractions lists. Your granddaughter will be able to go on any ride with no height requirement. She'll also likely love character meals, character greetings, parades, fireworks and much more.
Please write back and let us know what you and she are interested in and will provide you with lots more information. We'd love to help you every step of the way.
