Hi Gwendolyn! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for bringing us your question about
Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passes.
I see many fun-filled days in the future for your children and their grandparents at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Gwendolyn, the Florida Resident purchasing the tickets (in this case, the grandparents) must be present in order to activate any type of Florida Resident ticket. As long as there is an adult present, the actual parents do not have to be present to activate the passes.
There are a few ways Florida Resident Annual Passes can be purchased. The grandparents may purchase online and pick up/ activate at will call or they can be purchased at any of the four theme park ticket windows. The grandparents must show
Proof of Florida Residency to activate any discounted passes for your children. Once the passes are activated, they would not need to be present on subsequent visits in order for the children to be able to use the passes.
I hope this information is helpful to you. Don’t hesitate to come back to see us if you have any more questions!
Veronica
