Grandma here bringing husband, daughter - husband and grandkids 4 & 8, we currently have a suite at all star music; however we have been told it is very very small suites there, do you have other suggestions for 6 traveling at moderate rates for 7 days

Hi, Loretta!  What a great trip this looks like it will be!  It's so nice to get to go with the family and enjoy the grandchildren!

The suites at the All Star Music are about the same size as two of the value hotel rooms together.  There is a separate bedroom area with a queen sized bed, where either you and your husband could sleep or your daughter and her husband could sleep.  In the living room, there is a fold out sofa that will accommodate the other pair of grown ups, then there are other fold out single beds that will sleep your two grandchildren.

We fit our family of five in the suites with no problem, but when the beds are all folded out, it is a bit tight to get around.  The big pluses though include two separate bathrooms, so two people can shower at a time in the morning, and you'll have a small refrigerator and a microwave to grab a quick breakfast and store some snacks and drinks.

Alternatively, you could book two separate rooms at either a value or a moderate resort, but the size of the family suite is going to be equivalent in size to the two rooms at the value.  The larger accommodations come with a larger price tag, but include the Cabins at Ft. Wilderness or a villa in one of the Disney Vacation Club Resorts.  The advantage those have is the full kitchen facilities, which allows some people to scale back on their dining budget.

    Have a great vacation!
